As part of a Canadian consortium
sponsored by the International Council for Local Environmental
Initiatives (ICLEI), conceived and executed a 60 hectare “New
Urbanism” civic centre design for La Pintana, one of the
poorest district in Santiago. We introduced “participatory
planning” principles for the first time in Chile to design
a multi phase, complex, mixed used, and multi neighbourhood district
plan. We also undertook detailed urban designs for each block
working with Bob Glover, senior urban designer of the City of
Toronto, and numerous local architects. |
