The original design for this
project consisted of a stepped buildings, affording even residents
of the back of the building a view of the river the site was
located on. A nautical theme permeated the design, with the fourth
floor tucked carefully into the roof, to project the image of
a typical three storey building typical in the area. An ill advised
Ontario Municipal Board ruling resulted in a complete re-design,
removing all of the best features of the building and nautical
features, including the sloped roof incorporating dormers, balconies,
turrets and other interesting features of the original design. |
